Jerry Poe Head Pastor
Pastor Jerry Poe is a Marysville native and has spent many years establishing a foundation in ministry, family, and business in his hometown and surrounding areas. After many years in diverse ministries and businesses, Jerry followed God's calling for his life by attending and graduating from The Vineyard Learning Institute. This journey led him to establishing The Vine Church of Marysville and ignited his passion to continue walking out God's plans for His life, while inspiring others to do the same.
Jerry has served in many areas of ministry including building operations, men's group, small group leader, and discipleship pastor. He also currently serves on the Marysville Hope Center Board and Pastoral Board.
Beyond being a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Jerry seeks to model and teach what it truly means to walk by faith. He enjoys the opportunities that God lays out for Him and makes it a priority to seize the moment and embrace God's plan.
Brian Wilds Associate/Youth Pastor
Brian was born and raised not to far for here in Marion, Ohio. His wife grew up even closer as she’s a native of Delaware, Ohio. They have been blessed with seven amazing children. They have raised their family in the Marysville area now for almost five years and consider the community their home.
Brian comes from a diverse background of business, management, and teaching. During that time though Brian received his calling from the Father and began his faith journey. He went back to school and received A Master degree in Christian ministry from Grand Canyon University. The blessing of his faith has allowed him to obtain experience in family ministry, worship ministry, small group ministry, and most recently youth ministry. He is humbled and honored the Lord has chosen his path to run through The Vine church. He is excited to be a part of the amazing things God has planned for The Vine church and the Marysville area.
Connie Poe Director of Ministries
Connie Poe serves as the Director of Ministries for The Vine of Marysville. She grew up in Milford Center, OH and has raised her family and faith here in Marysville. After many years of raising a family, real-estate, business, and community outreach, Connie is ready to follow God's plan for her as a Pastor's wife and Church leader.
Connie has served in many leadership roles throughout the community and diverse church bodies. Most recently she has served as a Design Director and Children's Ministry Director and she plans to use this experience as she directs The Vine Ministries to encourage others to find their talents and use them for the glory of God.
Connie is the mother of 3 grown daughters and 5 grandchildren. She hopes to spread the love she has for her family with The Vine Church family as she works to nurture people and help them find God's plan for their lives. Her dream is for everyone to feel in their hearts that they have a purpose in ministry and beyond.
Gail Pyers Children's Director
Gail Pyers serves as the Children's Director for The Vine of Marysville. Gail was born in Marysville and has lived here her whole life. She has a variety of leadership experiences from various businesses and churches in the community. Gail currently serves as an Intervention Aid for Marysville Schools and is excited to bring her experience with leadership and children to The Vine Children's Program.
As Children's Director, Gail is responsible for nurturing children's ministry leaders, volunteers, and the children of The Vine. She has created a safe and engaging atmosphere for kids to build their foundation in Jesus Christ. She hopes that the unique aspects of The Vine Kids Crew like the safari animal theme, Bible Bucks Rewards Store, and use of modern technology and age appropriate Bible lessons will keep kids excited about growing their faith in God.
Gail is a loving wife and mother of 3 who seeks to share this love and devotion with the kids of The Vine. Her goal is for every child to feel excited and safe about joining The Vine Kids Crew and sharing their faith in Jesus Christ. She believes with all her heart that kids are our future and it is the church's job to establish a pathway for them to grow in their exciting walk with Jesus.
