What we believe
God is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
(2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit and its powerful intervention in the lives of people today. We trust that Jesus Christ died on the cross for every human's sins and when he rose from the dead, he conquered death and gave those who believe in Him eternal life.
The Bible is our Instruction for Life
(Joshua 1:8)
We believe that the Bible is God's word: accurate, authoritative, absolute and applicable to our everyday life. The scripture of the Bible is from God and reveals His revelations to mankind. They are infallible and serve as authoritative guides for our faith, beliefs and life.
The Power of God is Everlasting
(Matthew 19:26)
We believe in modern miracles and the current and increasing power of God. We believe that He gives each individual unique and purposeful gifts that can bring healing, inspiration, and change. It is our belief that God intervenes in daily life and He intends for this church to be a place where the broken can be healed, the weary can be inspired, the unloved can feel wanted and believers can be nourished. The Vine of Marysville seeks to reach all people and ignite a fire of passion for the Gospel and a life driven by the Word and intervention of God and his direction and love.
Love is the Greatest Commandment
In the Bible it is clear that God wants us to live our life full of love for Him and for each other. At the Vine, we embrace these truths and strive to live by them everyday. We are a church who seeks to love God above all creations and to love all people. We view Matthew 22:37-39 as one of our many guiding principals to live by.
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
